It’s been a while I posted something on this. Exams took over ! 😀 . One semester gone. We thank God!! I Really had to share this post. I’m sure you have once experienced this in one way or the other. The word Trust.
According to Wikipedia’s definition of Trust. It is referred to as a situation in which one party is willing to rely on the actions of another party. The trustor is uncertain about the outcome of the
other’s actions; they can only develop and evaluate expectations. The uncertainty involves the risk of failure or harm to the trustor if the trustee will not behave as desired.
Have you ever put your trust in someone and then end up getting hurt or disappointed? Or you think you can confide in someone and they end up breaking that trust you have in them? Or you build a relationship with someone & you start talking to this person and all of a sudden he or she lives you hanging and vanishes into thin air without a word after giving them your trust.
Consider John 2:24-25
It speaks of Jesus’ relationship with His disciples. It plainly says that Jesus did not trust Himself to them. While He gave Himself to them relationally and
lived life with them, He knew that they were not perfect. He understood human nature and He did not trust himself to them in an unbalanced way.Consider the level of trust you put into others. Make sure you only give to God what should be God’s as He is the only one
who can be truly trusted with everything.
We can go only so far in any human relationship. If we go beyond godly wisdom, we will likely be hurt. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that some people will never hurt us, only to be disappointed when they don’t live up to those standards. We might even think this person is worth confiding in. But no one is perfect.
The good news is that God is perfect and will not disappoint. He is always loving and good. Don’t give trust
to people that belongs to God, but rather, give yourself completely to Him. He alone is trustworthy.
Not everyone that comes in sheep’s clothing are actual sheeps. You cannot judge a book by its cover but can ask God to open your eyes to who is who and their motives .
